Are you sure the version of Joomla you installed on your NAS is Joomla 5? The articles about Australian Parks used to be included in the sample data of earlier versions of Joomla but they are not included in Joomla 5, AFAIK.
If you create an article as a member of the Super Users user group, it is automatically approved and published. Members of groups like Authors and Editors can also create blog articles, but they need to be approved by Publishers, Administrators or Super Users.
